- i have to answer a jury summons today around noon. if they pick me, i can't even tell you how screwed i am.
- related to the above: a popular refrain around the church of late seems to be, "ms. rev or not can do it!" i exploded wednesday night. "NO. i'm not taking on one more thing. i CANNOT do everything. find someone else."

eeek. they should know that you can't do everything. maybe jury duty would be a nice way for them to realize that your ministry together is actually shared.
or, you could do what i do and come up with some reason about why my faith doesn't allow me to serve on the jury. i admit this only worked in a death penalty case. but i did cry.
Do you want to borrow my grandma for awhile? Every once in awhile, she tells me, "And don't do everything they ask you to do at that church."
